PolyWires is a local community app: the front page of your town. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions any time: support@polywires.com.

What we collect

Account. You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive your name and email address from them. Your display name appears publicly next to what you post.
Content you post. Posts, photos, comments, listings, and messages are stored on our servers so your city can see them. Photos are stored with our image hosting provider.
Your city. If you allow location access, your device uses it once to figure out which city you're in. We store the city you picked, not your precise location and not a location history. You can change your city, or type it instead, at any time.
A device identifier. Used for voting integrity, rate limits, and abuse prevention.
Push token. Only if you turn on notifications.

What we don't do

We don't show ads, we don't sell your data, we don't build advertising profiles, and we don't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We don't read your contacts and we don't track where you go.

Services we rely on

Sign-in is handled by Apple and Google. Photos are stored on Cloudflare R2. Our servers and database run on Railway. City pages show public information (for example census figures, weather, and local event listings) fetched for your city, never using your personal data.

Moderation

Every post, photo, comment, and account can be reported or blocked in the app. Reported content is automatically hidden once enough reports come in and is reviewed by us. Content that breaks our Terms is removed and repeat offenders are banned.

Your choices

Edit or delete your posts in the app.
Block anyone; you won't see their content and they can't message you.
Delete your account in the app under Profile. You can also email support@polywires.com to request removal of your content or a copy of your data.

Children

PolyWires is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Continued use of PolyWires after a change means you accept the updated policy.
